Holiday Inn, Wilsonville, OR
Targeted Support Districts

This training was originally scheduled for January 18th, 2024, but was rescheduled due to concerns about inclement weather in the region.

Purpose of the training:

During this one day training, ORTIi staff and Jon Potter from National Center for Intensive Intervention covered:

  • Updates for Tier 2: Intervention Review

  • Updates for Tier 3: Individual Problem Solving

  • Developing Standards of Practice for Tier 3/IPS (including training and monitoring)

While the focus of the day was primarily on intensifying reading instruction, we also discussed how to integrate social, emotional, and behavioral support when creating plans to support a student.

Who should attend:

  • Your district leadership team, including representatives from Special Education and SEL/PBIS.

  • Building leadership teams, including principals, literacy specialists, coaches, counselors and/or school psychs (or whoever organizes and facilitates intervention review and meetings where individual students are discussed, such as Student Study Teams, Multi Disciplinary Teams or PBIS Teams).

  • ESD employed school psychologists or other staff who support your school.
